Note: The laptop was docked and connected to an external keyboard during the entire update process. It might not have installed the driver due to that. Uninstalled keyboard and rebooted. Ran SFC /scannow which found and repaired errors. Ran DISM /online /restorehealth which reported no errors. Ran SFC /scannow again. Reset Windows.

Note: If this just occurred, immediately cut off power, unplug the AC adapter, and remove the battery (some products have an integrated battery that cannot be removed). 510. Dec 31, 2017. #3. Hi everyone, I bought 2 Lenova Ideapad 110S's on sale. So my wife tells me the cursor is gone. I discovered that it has a "Disable touchpad" button. Simply hit the F6 or Fn and F6 together and the cursor is back. Not sure why they even have this key since it isn't a touch screen.

About two months later it started again, but without the shutting down thing. When I open the device the keyboard should be usable, which obviously isn't the case. I suspect that it's the lid position sensor, because sometimes, when I close the laptop, the keyboard get's activated, which is signalled by a symbol that appears on screen
